This article is just to give you a little information about the format of Sterlington-LA.com and how to use it. It is not always easy to figure out how to navigate around a website, especially when different websites have different formats.

The Sterlington-LA.com website uses a Wordpress blogging program to display articles and pages. Titles displayed in the bar at the top under the title banner, Sterlington-LA, are called PAGES.

Clicking Home should always takes you to the front page of the website. Clicking About will take you to a page that tells you a little about me, the website owner and administrator. Clicking How to Use brings you to this page to explain the format.

Under the Pages List is a set of tabs. These tabs display SECTIONS: Lead Article, Recent Posts and About this website. Classified Ads and Forum should be added soon. Clicking the titles will take you to that section of the website.

In the left and center column beneath the tabs are excerpts of articles that have been posted to different categories: Administration, Business, Churches, Events. These categories are pretty self-explanatory and clicking the title of the category will take you to a page where you can view the list of articles posted in that category. Clicking the title of a post displayed under the title of a category will take you to the full article display.

News and other categories are listed on the right column. The most recent News articles is displayed under the Lead Article tab. Ads and Sponsors, Archives and news feed icons are also displayed here along with the list of Authors. Clicking on any of these titles will take you to that section of the website so you can narrow your search.

There is also a search box in the upper right corner. If you want to locate an article about your neighbor or a friend, you can type their name (if it was mentioned in the article) and it will bring up a list of the posts that contain the words you typed.
